"Highway 66"
A compilation of Patrol newsreel footage from the height of the Mother Road era — restored from original 35mm prints in 2022.
A 60-seat cinema in the mansion's east wing, screening eight rotating programs of original Patrol footage, training films, oral histories, and newsreels — every hour, on the hour, free with admission.
The Marland Theater is built into the mansion's original east-wing ballroom — preserved walnut paneling, original chandeliers, modern projection. Eight half-hour programs rotate through the day, each curated from the Society's archive of more than 400 hours of Patrol footage.
Some programs are public-facing newsreels; some are oral histories recorded with retired troopers in the past five years; some are restored 16mm training films from the 1950s. A printed schedule is at the door, and the program changes each season.
